Hi all :) Im so excited its only a couple of days until my latest creative offering. It will be on Spotify and iTunes as well as the order page on this site under 'Store'. Ive attached a file which is a track by track description if you'd like to read it :)
Hello lovelies! The website is back in business! Im stoked to announce my new album “other side of town” will be released Feb 15th 2019 (one day before my birthday 😊). However if you pre-order it, I will post a signed copy to you as soon as its pressed and packaged.
The album was Produced by Bill Chambers, my favourite country music bloke and mentor for many years now. Bill has treated my songs sensitively and respectfully, and that is why I love working with him. Plus he’s kind, funny and an all round top bloke.
Bill recommended some great players who were equally respectful of the songs. As a writer there is for me, nothing more important when working with musos. So here’s cheers to Ali Foster on deums, Chris Haigh on acoustic, electric and bass guitars, Michael Sparrow in backing vocals, Dean Ray guesting on electric guitar and Bill Chambers himself on mando, vocals, and all sorts of guitars. I played acoustic and electric guitars and harmobica.. there sure are better guitar players out there than me but Bill backed and encouraged me to play on my own album, something other producers wouldnt do.
The album frayures more harmonica than any before, the songs are a the story of my journey these past two or three years, documenting joy of motherhood, of finding new true love, of heartbreak and broken families and the death of my Mother. Theres a saucy ild blues song I wrote many moons ago called “Hot Spot” for some fun and flavour. I teally hope you enjoy it, and i hope it helps some heal, some laugh, some cry, and mostly to feel something when you listen.
lots of love Bec xx
